Daniel Hartman, owner of Kingstone Capital, has built his business around creative solutions for both homeowners and investors. With experience in single-family acquisitions, rental portfolios, and hard-money lending, he understands the value of partners who can adapt to different seller needs.
After being introduced to Truehold through a trusted colleague, Daniel found a partner whose flexibility, consistency, and homeowner-focused model aligned with his approach. In this Q&A, he shares what makes the partnership work, how it benefits his clients, and the advice he gives other agents considering Truehold.
Can you tell me a little bit about your background?
I’m a licensed physical therapist by training. About five years ago, I started investing in real estate with my brother, Michael. What began as a side project quickly grew into something much bigger, and in 2021 I made the leap into full-time real estate investing. That same year, Michael and I launched Kingstone Capital Management. We focus on acquiring off-market single-family properties across the country and also provide loans to support other investors. It’s been an exciting journey transitioning from healthcare to real estate, and I haven’t looked back since.
How did you first hear about Truehold, and what made you want to work together?
We heard about Truehold a few years ago through a former partner, who suggested we reach out and learn more. From the getgo, it was clear that Truehold would provide strong and mutually beneficial opportunities for us. Since that initial conversation, Truehold has proven itself to be a great, steadfast partner. Truehold has not only allowed us to sell some of our own inventory, but has also allowed us to provide homeowners in our orbit with a great option to sell their homes in a way that truly meets their needs.
What stood out to you about Truehold compared to other programs or investment buyers you’ve worked with?
Two main things stand out when I think about Truehold compared to other folks we’ve worked with. First, Truehold has consistently provided strong offers, even as the market has shifted. From my experience, this is unique to Truehold and something that we greatly value. Second, and importantly, Truehold’s product is flexible and unique. Their model allows some sellers to even stay and rent their home back until they're ready to move on. Most homeowners never even knew an option like this existed. This differentiating factor and added benefit really makes Truehold stand out, and makes their product all the more appealing for so many.
What kinds of clients do you find are the best fit for Truehold?

Homeowners looking to access their equity are off the bat a great fit for Truehold. Truehold also works well for investors with solid rental portfolios who are ready to liquidate some of their assets. Their model makes the process straightforward while keeping the homes stable and occupied. It’s a rare advantage that Truehold can serve both individual homeowners and seasoned investors so effectively.
Can you share a memorable experience or success story from working with Truehold so far?
One of the most memorable experiences we’ve had with Truehold, and one that really reflects the kind of partner they are, happened last year. A homeowner was ing an extremely complicated title situation after financing the property. Truehold remained transparent and patient, working with both the owner and the tenants to provide the time they needed to transition. Ultimately, the owner was able to access the equity he was counting on. It was a great example of Truehold’s willingness to step in and find solutions where others might walk away.
What advice would you give to other agents who are thinking about working with Truehold?
My biggest piece of advice is to provide as much information to Truehold when submitting a deal. It’s worth it to put in the work on the front end, gather as many details as possible, and be responsive if they request more information. Doing so will help Truehold generate a strong and competitive offer that benefits all parties involved.
